DEEP PURPLE: More North American Tour Dates Announced

According to TheHighwayStar.com, DEEP PURPLE has scheduled the following North American dates:

Jul. 12 - Chastain Park Amphitheatre - Atlanta, GA
Jul. 13 - House Of Blues - Lake Buena Vista, FL
Jul. 14 - Pompano Beach Amphitheatre - Pompano Beach, FL
Jul. 15 - Ruth Eckerd Hall - Clearwater, FL
Jul. 19 - Rock Fest - Cadott, WI
Jul. 21 - Mountain Rock Music Festival - Farwell, MI
Jul. 26 - Rock The Park - London, ON
Jul. 27 - DTE Energy Music Theatre - Clarkston, MI
Aug. 09 - Musikfest - Bethlehem, PA

As previously reported, DEEP PURPLE will play the entire "Machine Head" album in sequence on its upcoming U.K. tour. The trek, which kicks off on April 21 in Newcastle, also features STYX and THIN LIZZY.

DEEP PURPLE is touring behind its latest CD, "Rapture of the Deep". An expanded version of "Rapture of the Deep" was released last June, pairing the original release with a second CD that has, among other things, a new version of the song "Clearly Quite Absurd" and five live performances from when the band reopened the Hard Rock Cafe in London in October 2005. Among the live cuts are the classic DEEP PURPLE songs "Highway Star", "Smoke on the Water", and "Perfect Strangers".
